Most of us remember GI Joe from the toys we used to play with when we were kids and the cartoons we used to see. This childhood memory has been brought to life in a superb movie. The movie begins with a scot man named Klan McCullen has been accused of selling weaponry to both the Scots and French. As punishment they decide to brand him with a white mask in order to humiliate him. The next scene, In the near future a scientist named James McCullen created a weapon which can destroy entire cities.

Duke and Ripcord are delivering the warheads to NATO when they are attacked by the Baroness. Duke and Ripcord are rescued by Scarlett who is their ally. They take the warheads to The Pit in North Africa, and upon arriving rendezvous with General Hawk the head of the G.I. Joe Team. Hawk takes command of the war-heads and excuses Duke and Ripcord. McCullen is revealed to be using the same technology in order to take over the world. McCullen uses GPS tracking to locate the warheads and sends his henchmen to retrieve it and give it the baron. The baron DeCobray wants to show the entire world the power of his warheads by destroying the Eiffel tower, but his plot fails due to the intrusion of the Duke, but Duke is captured and taken to McCullen’s secret base in the arctic. G.I. Joe locates the secret base, and Scarlett attempt’s to shut down the base. During the attack Rex along with McCullen activate the self destruct mechanism of the base in order to escape. The world is saved by GI Joe.
The overall impact of the movie was excellent with great graphics and a nice story line. The directors hint at a sequel to the movie in the end, which helps captivate the viewers. In conclusion I would like to say that this movie is one of the best releases this year and I personally cannot wait for the sequel.
