LA Based Celebrity Fashion Designer Anand Jon gets 59 years sentence in jail

35 years old, Indian Born Fashion Designer, Anand Jon Alexander who was a guest designer on the hit TV show America’s Next Top 10 Model and who also have designed clothes for famous celebrities, like Paris Hilton, Janet Jackson and Mary J. Blinge was found Guilty of 14 cases of sexual assault including forcible rape and was given a sentence of 59 years in prison. The 13 Victims he assaulted sexually, held hands and cried as the Superior Court Judge David Wesley, told Anand that he is not remorseful and should be imprisoned for life, for luring and assaulting young women and girls.

According to the prosecutors, Anand found aspiring models online and promised them the opportunity to make big in the modeling business, only to molest or rape them at his Beverly Hills apartment.

Three girls told a packed courtroom how he had destroyed their innocence. One of the girls who was then 14 testified, at a tender age of 14, this beast took my trust, adolescence and dreams and manipulated all to satisfy his sexual desires. Another of his rape victim in 2007 who is now 21 said, that she can never forget the life-changing, horrifying memories of that day and I, who was the biggest daddy’s girl, had to cry before him of the assault I have faced because of this man, and now every day seeing my family get over all this kills me of the mistake I did, by trusting him.

Anand who faces similar charges in New York and Texas sat in the courtroom, with no emotions as judge Wesley read his sentence. Earlier in the day he had broken down and appealed for a fresh trail by saying that, punish me but only for the right reasons, this is my life which is on stake her, not just a thing. His plea for a fresh trial was earlier discarded because of prosecutor and juror misconduct and His sister Sanjana’s efforts to affect the judgment by tampering a judge.

As the prosecutors relied heavily on the victim’s testimonies, the Defense lawyers argued that the victims want to seek revenge as they did not get modeling jobs and hoped to profit financially.
