A bona fide tennis star, the new celebrity, the next big hope in US tennis, whatever way you address her, Melanie Oudin is the new talk of the tennis arena, who has successfully made her Cinderella story turn real and that too at a tender age of 17.

The amazing performance she gave at the US open tournament, by defeating great tennis pros and making her way to the quarter-finals, this sweet girl is still not ready to accept that she has turned into a celebrity now.

Quite phenomenal and full of excitement, this new tennis sensation has made way into the hearts of millions of Americans who watched her play at the tournament by the thrilling victories she succeeded in getting against Russians, which made her get in to the quarter-finals which in itself is an achievement simply phenomenal.

Losing to Caroline Wozniacki, by 6-2, 6-2, she has become disappointed somehow, but she truly believes that both the achievement and the loss are lessons which will help her built a great career in tennis. The experience and lessons she learnt at this great tournament from ace players have made her even more confident and set to achieve her goal of becoming the number one. But, still too modest after such great achievement, this little girl believes she has done nothing so as to be addressed like a celebrity and is still in the beginners or learners stage.

Thanking people about the overwhelming response and applause she received after her enticing performance, Melanie greeted everyone out there for their heart-warming support and said that she is no star; just a normal girl who loves tennis and the game is her passion.

The gutsy teenager has everything a person requires to become the next American’s hope in women tennis, and the overnight success by no means has made her feel and act like a star.
